Emma JarrisMemberI’ve been using my DappSmile for about a week now and it seems like the battery drains faster than I expected. I charged it fully two days ago and used it maybe three times for a couple minutes each, and now it’s already showing low battery. Is this normal or did I get a dud? I really like how it cleans, just wondering about the battery life.

MemberHonestly, I wouldn’t worry too much after just a week. Mine did the same thing at first but it evened out after a few charges.

MemberI mean, two days with three uses doesn’t sound super abnormal to me. My other rechargeable stuff drains faster when I’m messing with the strong mode or LED a lot.

MemberI think it might just need a few charge cycles to settle in. Mine acted kind of similar at first but then got more consistent after a week or two.

Owen21MemberMine’s been fine so far, but I’m not using the strong mode much. Maybe check what setting you’re on, that LED probably pulls extra juice too.

MemberI’ve seen a few people mention the LED draining more than you’d think, and that kind of makes sense to me. Mine seems fine so far but I mostly just use it on normal mode for a minute or two. Not totally sure if yours is off or just how it goes.

LiamWParticipantBattery life on these small rechargeable gadgets is usually just okay. Wouldn’t expect it to last days with the LED on.

MemberI haven’t had mine long enough to really say, but I feel like the battery drains faster when I use the light a lot. Could be that.

Mike RunnerMemberTwo days with a few minutes of use and it’s already low? That sounds kind of weak to me, but I guess these small gadgets aren’t exactly powerhouses. I wouldn’t stress too much unless it dies after one use.

no_sleepParticipantHuh, that does sound a bit quick to drain. I haven’t really timed mine or anything, but I feel like it lasts longer than that when I just use it on normal mode. Maybe I just got lucky with mine or don’t use it as long as I think.

HanSoloParticipantI dunno, a couple minutes three times over two days and it’s already low sounds pretty weak to me. These things aren’t exactly built like tanks, but that still feels off. I’d probably just use it and see if it’s a pattern before worrying too much.

StanMemberI’ve been using mine on the go mostly, charging it in hotel rooms and stuff, so I haven’t really paid close attention to how long it lasts. It could be that the strong mode or the LED uses up more juice than the gentle settings, maybe try switching modes and see if that changes anything.

MemberHmm, that does sound kind of quick. I just got mine and haven’t really paid close attention to the battery yet, but I mostly use it without the light on.

SarahMParticipantHonestly, a week seems pretty early to tell. I’d give it a few more charges before deciding if it’s actually bad.

Emma JarrisMemberOh, thanks for the replies everyone. I guess I’ll just keep using it for now and see if it evens out after a few more charges. Still liking how it cleans, so I’ll stop overthinking the battery for now.

Zoe MatthewsMemberI would not call that normal, but these little cleaners do seem to vary. Mine sits around for days after a short use and still holds a charge, so yours draining that fast sounds off to me. Could be a weak battery unit. I would not swap it yet, but I would keep an eye on it.
