L_ParkerMemberI’m thinking about picking up a Qinux BreezaMax for my desk this summer, but I’ve been burned by bladeless fans before. My old one from a few years back just felt like a gentle breeze, not really cooling me off. Does this one push air with enough force to actually feel it, or is it more of a gentle waft?

Daniele RossiMemberI think it depends on what you’re used to. I grabbed one for my desk and it’s definitely more than a gentle waft, but it’s not gonna blast you like a high-speed desk fan. I actually prefer that during work hours since it’s quieter and doesn’t mess up papers.

MemberI picked one up a few weeks ago and it’s fine for my desk. Not a huge blast of air but I can definitely feel it, more than my old bladeless one did. Maybe it depends on how close you sit.

MemberI think it really depends on what you expect from it. A friend let me try theirs for a bit and it’s definitely not a powerhouse, but the airflow felt more focused than the old bladeless ones I remember. Maybe it’s just the design, but I could feel it from a couple feet away without it being annoying. Not totally sure if it’s better than a cheap fan, but it seems fine for a desk.

MemberI’ve got one sitting on my desk right now and honestly I think it’s fine for what it is. It’s definitely not gonna blast you like a tower fan on high, but I can feel it on my face from about two feet away. I mainly like that it’s quiet enough to not bother me during calls, so that trade off works for me.

MemberI had one of those bladeless fans a few years back and yeah, it was basically useless for actual cooling. If the Qinux BreezaMax is the same tech, I wouldn’t hold my breath. They usually just circulate air quietly, not push it. I’d stick with a cheap desk fan that actually moves the air.

AnnaKParticipantI tried one at a friend’s place and it actually had a decent amount of force, not just a soft breeze like the old ones. Felt pretty noticeable on a warm day.

MemberHonestly I think it depends on what you’re used to. I’ve got one sitting on my desk right now and it’s definitely stronger than those old bladeless ones that just kinda hummed at you. Maybe not as forceful as a big desk fan but it’s still enough to feel it on your face from a couple feet away. Works fine for me.

no_sleepParticipantI’ve got one sitting on my desk right now. It’s definitely not that weak barely-there air movement you get from some bladeless fans. I can feel it from a couple feet away without cranking it to max, so it’s not just a gentle waft.

Mike in TXMemberI had one of those cheap desktop fans before and it was loud and annoying. The BreezaMax is quieter and the air feels more focused, not just a weak puff. If you sit close to it you’ll feel it fine.

L_ParkerMemberAlright, thanks for the replies. Sounds like it’s got enough kick to actually feel it, so I’ll probably just grab one and see how it goes. Appreciate the input.
