MemberI keep seeing these detailed daily cleaning routines on Pinterest and I’m curious if anyone here follows them. I tried one for a week but ended up just doing my usual wipe-downs and vacuuming when I feel like it. Maybe I’m missing something obvious but it feels like extra work for not much gain.

MemberI looked at one of those schedules once and laughed. I just do the stuff that actually looks dirty when I notice it. Feels like those lists are made for people with way more free time than me.

MemberI tried one of those lists for about two days and just felt like I was cleaning stuff that didn’t need it. Seems like a way to make yourself feel busy more than actually keeping things clean. Not totally convinced it’s worth the effort.

MarkD87MemberI looked at one of those schedules once and figured I’d give it a shot, but by day three I was back to just wiping stuff down when I actually noticed it was dusty. Feels like overkill for a normal house unless you really enjoy cleaning for the sake of it.

d4nielParticipantI think they work fine if you actually stick to them. I followed one for a few months and it kept the place looking decent without much thought. Most people just bail on day two and blame the schedule.

Rachel ColeMemberI looked at a couple of those schedules and they just seemed like overkill for a normal house. I do the basics when stuff actually looks dirty and it’s fine. Not really a big deal if you skip the fancy daily lists.

MemberI glanced at a few of those schedules and honestly my brain just went nope. I’d rather do a quick tidy when I have a free moment than feel like I’m clocking in for a shift at home.

PixelKevinMemberI tried one of those once and lasted like two days before I just went back to wiping stuff down when it actually looks dirty. Seems like overkill unless you really enjoy cleaning.

MemberI think some people probably stick with them, but I tried one and felt like I was just cleaning for the sake of following a list instead of actually needing to. It kind of took the spontaneity out of it, if that makes sense. I ended up just going back to my usual once-over when things look messy.

MemberI think the appeal is more about the idea of being super organized than actually doing it. I tried one of those schedules once and it just made me feel guilty when I skipped a day. Honestly, I get more done when I just clean whatever looks like it needs it.

MemberI tried one of those once and gave up after two days. Feels like they’re designed for people with way more free time than I have.
