Does the AlarmTag pin pull as easily as old keychain alarms?

I used to have one of those old keychain alarms where you had to yank the pin pretty hard. Just got an AlarmTag and the pull feels a bit different, maybe smoother? Not sure if that’s just me. Anyone else notice a difference in how the pin comes out compared to older ones?

Mine actually feels stiffer than the old ones I had, not smoother. I have to give it a decent tug, which honestly I prefer since it hasn’t popped off in my bag yet. Maybe they vary a bit between units?

Mine came out fairly easily the first few times, almost too easy, and then it settled into a firmer pull after a week or so of riding around in my bag. That looser start did make me a little wary, though nothing actually popped on its own. So maybe it’s less about old versus new and more about how broken in the thing is.

Mine pulls way too easy for my taste. I’d rather have to yank it hard than risk it popping off in my bag.

The pull on mine is definitely smoother than the old keychain ones I had years ago. I clip it to my jacket pocket when I walk the dog, and it hasn’t snagged on anything yet. Feels like it was made to come out quick instead of needing a hard yank.

I’ve used both and the AlarmTag pin definitely comes out easier than the old keychain ones. Not a huge difference, but enough that I noticed right away. I actually prefer it since it’s quicker to grab and pull if I need it.

Mine never loosened up, still stiff as day one.

No idea, but I’m curious about the same thing.

I only used the old keychain kind a couple times years ago so I can’t really compare. Mine pulls pretty smooth though and hasn’t gotten stuck or anything, which is all I care about.

Mine felt about the same as the old ones, maybe a touch smoother but nothing that stood out. I did notice it gets easier after a few pulls though, so if it’s new that might be why.

Mine takes noticeably more force than the AlarmTag, so it’s not just you. I actually prefer a stiffer pull because it’s less likely to snag on something and go off in my bag. The smoother one is easier under stress though, so I get why people like it.

Mine actually still needs a decent tug, same as the old keychain one I had. Maybe I got a stiff one, but it hasn’t loosened up after a couple months on my keys. So I wouldn’t count on it being smoother across the board.

Smooth is the last thing I want on something like this. I’d rather it take a real tug so it doesn’t pop off in my bag or catch on something. If mine came out too easy I’d be sending it back.

Mine still needs a decent pull, but good to know.
