I keep my wallet in a backpack most of the time. Will Tagsley still connect to Find My if it’s buried in there? Not sure if the signal gets blocked or something.

Mine lives in a backpack pocket most days and it still shows up fine. The card doesn’t need line of sight, it just needs an iPhone somewhere nearby to pass the signal along. Fabric and zippers haven’t caused me any trouble.

I’ve had mine in a front backpack pocket since January and it pings my iPhone from inside the bag pretty reliably. Even when the backpack is zipped up and sitting in a different room, it still shows up on Find My. It’s a pretty low maintenance little thing so far.

Mine sat in a laptop bag for a couple months and the only time it got flaky was when the bag was inside a metal locker. Otherwise it pinged fine through the fabric.

I had mine in a backpack for a while and it was hit or miss. Sometimes it updated fine, other times it lagged for hours. Depends how many iPhones pass by, not really the bag itself.

Backpack is fine in my experience, mine reads through a canvas bag no problem. I did notice the Find My location can go stale for a bit if nobody with an iPhone walks past, but that’s just how the network works. Doesn’t seem to have anything to do with the bag itself.

Mine stays in a backpack pocket all day at work and connects to Find My every time I check. Never had it drop off just from being inside the bag. So you should be good.

Mine stays in a backpack side pocket with a bunch of other junk and it’s been fine for the last few months. The only time it got weird was when I left the whole bag in my car overnight in the cold, and even then it caught up once I got back near it.

Mine survived a full wash cycle in my jacket pocket, backpack is nothing. That said, I did have one weird stretch where it kept showing my home address for a day even though I was at work. No idea what that was about.

Canvas backpack here and it pings fine.

Thick material can matter more than people admit. My old backpack had a padded laptop section and anything in that pocket was basically invisible until I moved it to the front pouch. So the bag itself isn’t the issue, it’s which part of the bag.

Depends on the backpack honestly. Mine reads through a regular nylon bag fine, but I had a thicker one with some kind of lining and it was way less consistent. Not blocked exactly, just fewer pings.

    Backpack’s fine, signal doesn’t care.
