HanSoloParticipantTried the TopCarPlay wireless adapter to stop plugging my phone in every drive. Setup was literally plug into USB, pair once, and it usually reconnects automatically, which is handy. Sound and navigation feel fine most of the time but I did notice a couple of slow startups depending on the car. Remember it only works if your car already has wired CarPlay or Android Auto, it does not add the feature. Anyone else seeing intermittent delays or weird reconnects with this thing?

MarkD87MemberSeems like a nice convenience to avoid the cable, lots of people say it pairs once and mostly reconnects on its own. Heard about the occasional slow boot or weird reconnect with certain head units, so don’t expect flawless behavior in every car. If you hate plugging in, worth a cheap try.

northshoreParticipantHandy idea, but occasional slow boots would drive me nuts on short trips. Anyone got long-term reports on whether it stays reliable or starts flaky after a while?

L_ParkerMemberSaved me from plugging in every drive, works pretty much every day. Had a few slow starts in one older car but once it’s up audio and maps are fine.

techguy22ParticipantBought one last month, mostly seamless for me, reconnects fast and maps update without hiccups. A couple times the audio paused briefly when switching sources but it recovered. Steering wheel buttons and Siri worked every time. I’d keep it for the convenience.

coffeeandscreensParticipantGot one and it’s handy, I just leave it in the console and forget about cords, though sometimes the car’s system takes a few extra seconds to wake up so I tap the screen once or twice.

HanSoloParticipantThanks, useful to hear others see flaky reconnects. Looks like the startup/reconnect timing really comes down to the car’s head unit rather than the adapter.

Jenna LeeMemberI only get a slow start maybe once every couple of weeks on my car, and honestly it’s not that big of a deal for me since it’s still way better than messing with a cable every time. I just leave it plugged in and forget about it.
