Used the JBL Clip 5 for a few days while on a short trip, pretty handy. Sound is better than I expected for such a small speaker and battery life seems fine so far. Thinking about grabbing a second one to pair for stereo when I’m at the beach or in a hotel room. Anyone tried stereo pairing two Clip 5s and found them easy to set up and in sync outdoors?

I grabbed a second one and honestly they feel pretty solid, not the cheap plasticky kind. Pairing was easy and they mostly stayed in sync, but outdoors the stereo separation isn’t huge so don’t expect a wide soundstage. Works fine for background music though, just temper expectations.

One small thing I like is the clip — lets you hang or angle each unit easily so the stereo image feels wider than their size suggests. Works well for quick setups at a picnic or balcony.

if one’s half-buried in a towel or lying flat the stereo image gets weird. I think hanging them apart on chairs or bag straps makes the separation actually noticeable. Not totally sure about sync at long distances, but the clip design at least makes spacing easy.

Sounds tempting to grab a second Clip 5 for stereo, seems like it’d be nice at the beach. From skimming threads pairing seems pretty simple, though some folks mention a little sync/timing quirk outdoors. If you want more separation it’s probably worth trying, just don’t expect huge soundstage from tiny speakers.

Picked up a second Clip 5 and pairing was quick, it fills out the sound a lot more than just one. Maybe not perfect stereo imaging if you’re picky, but for casual listening it really livens things up. I think it’s worth grabbing another if you want a bit more presence.

I grabbed a second Clip 5 and pairing was pretty straightforward, I think. It makes stuff sound fuller and louder but I’m not sure it gives distinct left/right separation, maybe just a wider mono vibe. Still handy for casual outdoor listening, so I’d probably keep both.

Quick update: grabbed a second Clip 5 and pairing was painless. Sound is fuller and they stayed in sync at the beach, so I’m happy with it. Thanks for the feedback everyone, that’ll do for me.

Not convinced pairing two is worth it. I prefer one bigger speaker for better bass.

I think pairing works fine for basic stereo, but the outdoor part can be a toss up depending on how far you move them apart. Not totally convinced the sync holds perfectly in wide open spaces.
