I’ve been using my CoolCove mostly for cooling so far, which works fine. But I tried the fan mode the other day and it felt pretty gentle. Wasn’t sure if that’s normal or if maybe I’m expecting too much from a unit this size. Anyone else notice that?

I only use fan mode when I want a little air movement while I sleep, and it’s definitely not going to replace a box fan or anything. For me it’s fine, just a light breeze to keep the air from getting stuffy. Maybe it depends on how close you sit to it?

I think the gentle air movement is kind of the point for fan mode. It’s nice for a quiet breeze in a small room but I wouldn’t expect it to really push air around like a bigger unit.

It’s funny, I actually thought the fan mode moved more air than I expected for such a small unit. Maybe it depends on where you put it or the room size.

I’ve noticed the same thing. It’s not strong enough to really cool you down on its own, but I actually like it for a little background air movement when I’m working at my desk. Just enough to keep the air from feeling stale.

I was wondering the same thing when I first tried it, but for me it’s been fine just to keep the air from getting stuffy in my office while I’m working. I don’t think it’s supposed to blast you like a tower fan, more just keep things from feeling stagnant. Works well enough for that, at least with my setup.

I think it’s just the nature of fan mode on these things. It’s not gonna blast you like a box fan, but it keeps the air moving enough to not feel stale. Works fine for me in a bedroom.

It’s a fan mode on a little combo unit, not a standalone air mover. I wouldn’t expect it to blast you. Works fine for just keeping the air from going completely dead in a small room.

I think people get a little too hung up on fan mode. It’s just meant to circulate the air a bit, not replace a standing fan. I barely notice mine unless I’m sitting pretty close to it, and that’s fine by me.

Fan mode on mine is pretty mild too, but I figure that’s just what it is. If I need real airflow I’ll open a window, but for stirring the air around it’s fine.

It’s probably just the reality of a 2.7 lb unit. I wouldn’t call it a flaw, it’s more that the fan mode is for stirring air around, not pushing it across the room. Takes a few minutes to notice it doing anything, but I don’t think there’s something wrong with yours.

It’s a 2.7 lb box, so I never expected hurricane force from it. The fan mode is just there to keep the air from going stale while the unit does its thing. If you want a real breeze, get a cheap desk fan.

Yeah that’s pretty much what I figured. The fan mode is more of a background thing than something you’d sit in front of. I stopped expecting much from it and just let it do its thing when I’m not using the cooling side.
