My small rescue still has that doggy smell even after I bathe him. I’ve been thinking of buying a deodorizer or something but not sure if it’s a waste. People on here say home remedies work but I’m kinda skeptical. I live in a studio so it’s more noticeable. Anyone actually tried a spray that made a difference?
I think a lot of those sprays are just covering up the smell with a stronger one, not actually fixing it. I tried a couple and they just made my place smell like a wet dog and lavender mixed together, which is worse. You’re better off figuring out why he smells first.
I tried one once and it just made my place smell like lavender mixed with wet dog. Not sure it really fixed anything.
Ive found the sprays help a bit, not a miracle but they take the edge off. I think the bigger thing is making sure the dog is totally dry after a bath, that wet dog smell lingers way longer.
I tried one of those sprays and it sort of just covered up the smell for an hour or so. Didn’t really fix the actual doggy odor. I’d say they’re more of a quick fix than a real solution.
Sprays are hit or miss. I tried one and it just made my apartment smell like a wet dog with perfume on top. Not really an improvement. If you’re in a studio maybe just crack a window more often after baths.
