MemberBeen wearing my LumaGlasses for a couple of weeks now and I keep forgetting the touch controls are there. Voice commands work fine for me, but I’m curious if anyone else mainly uses voice or if the touch controls are worth getting used to. Maybe I’m missing something handy.

Tom BillMemberTouch controls are actually the only way I use mine half the time. Voice feels awkward when you’re walking through a crowd or sitting next to someone. Tapping the frame to pause a call or skip a track is way less noticeable than talking to your glasses like you’re on a bad sci-fi set.

MemberTouch controls are honestly the one thing I use when I’m wearing them at my desk or in the car. Voice feels weird when other people are around, so I’ve gotten into the habit of just tapping to pause or skip. It took me a few days to remember they existed too, but now it’s automatic.

MemberI’m the opposite. I basically never talk to mine when anyone’s around. Tapping is quieter and feels less weird than having a conversation with my sunglasses. Voice is fine at home, but out and about I’d rather just use the touch controls.

MemberI’m mostly a voice person too. The touch controls just never became a habit for me. I’ll use them if I’m somewhere quiet and don’t want to talk out loud, but most of the time voice is quicker anyway.

Mike89ParticipantI’m a touch control guy all the way. I just find it faster than waiting for the voice assistant to kick in, especially when I’m just pausing something or skipping a track. Voice is good for the bigger stuff like setting a timer or translating, but for quick stuff my thumb just goes up automatically now.

MemberI think I’d still lean on voice even if I forced myself to use the touch controls more. They’re handy for quick stuff like pausing audio, but for anything else my brain just defaults to talking. If voice works fine for you, I wouldn’t stress about making the taps a habit.

EliMemberTouch is the only way I’ll use mine when I’m eating or cooking.

Dave RunnerMemberTouch is mostly what I end up using, but not for the obvious stuff. I found it’s way easier to just tap to adjust volume than to shout over music or traffic. Voice is fine for setting things up, but once I’m out walking, the touch controls are the default.

MemberI’ve got mine set up so touch does the volume and voice does the assistant stuff. Mainly because I’m lazy and don’t want to repeat myself when I’m walking somewhere noisy. But I still forget the tap zones exist half the time, so I wouldn’t stress about it.
