Does the Pro Capture come with a decent memory card or do I need to buy one separately?

Mine came without a card, so yeah, you’re going to have to grab one before you head out. I picked up a spare 64GB and that’s been plenty for a day of clips. Just factor it into the price and you’re good.

I’d just factor the card into the price and not assume anything. These cameras almost always come with just the bare minimum accessories and expect you to handle storage yourself. A 32GB or 64GB card is cheap enough that it shouldn’t change your decision one way or the other.

Most of these action cameras don’t ship with a card, and the Pro Capture is no different. I wouldn’t count on finding one in the box, even a small starter one. The included accessories list is pretty much just the mounts and the waterproof case, so storage is on you.

I grabbed a 128GB card for mine before a trip and honestly it was the right call. 4K eats up space faster than you’d think, especially if you just leave it recording while you’re moving around. For snorkeling especially, you don’t want to be stuck swapping cards or realizing halfway through that you’re out of space. The camera itself is fine for that kind of use once you have the card sorted.

One thing I’d say is don’t cheap out on some random no-name card either. I’ve had those fail on other devices before, and the last thing you want is losing footage from a day out. A decent brand card isn’t that expensive and it’s a one-time cost. So yeah, factor that into the budget before you buy, but it’s not a dealbreaker. The camera works well once you’ve got that sorted.

I kinda disagree with the “just grab one when you order” take. I think it’s actually nice they don’t include a card, because the ones they bundle in are usually tiny or slow anyway. You’re better off picking exactly what you need for your trips. I’d rather spend a little extra than get stuck with a card that barely holds anything.
