Noah KentMemberI’ve been using an inversion table off and on for years but tried the Back Restore last month to see if the at-home decompression + heat would be easier. The heat and vibration combo is nice and I sometimes get quick pressure relief, but it doesn’t give the same full-body stretch as flipping upside down. It’s more comfortable to lie on and way faster to use, though it needs to stay plugged in and feels a bit bulky. Anyone else switch from an inversion table and notice real improvement in sciatica or disc pain?

Carla82MemberSwitched from an inversion table to a Back Restore and, for me, it actually helps my sciatica and I use it more because it’s easier.
Small thing: the remote loves to slide under the arch, so keep it on the floor beside you or you’ll be fishing for it.15 de May de 2026 at 06:24 #809
Noah KentMemberThanks I think I’ll keep it for now since I actually use it more, maybe report back later if anything changes.

MemberSwitched from an inversion table and kept the Back Restore because I’m actually using it more. Gives quick relief with the heat and vibration, not the same as hanging upside down though. Pretty happy with it overall.

Carla82MemberI tried one and ditched it after a month. Heat/vibe is pleasant but it never gave the stretch I actually need, and having to plug it in makes it annoying to move around. Convenient maybe, but not a replacement for real traction.

Laura CheckMemberI’d probably not toss my inversion table. I’d keep using it for the real stretch and use the Back Restore when I’m short on time or want the heat/vibe. Seems more like a convenient maintenance tool than a full replacement.

StanMemberHonestly the need to stay plugged in didn’t bother me much. Fifteen minutes plugged in and you’re finished, so not a dealbreaker.

HanSoloParticipantNot a big deal. Quick sessions actually make me use it more, which is the main win. Maybe it helps some people, but I’m skeptical it gives the same real decompression as flipping upside down.

MemberPeople often stick with whatever they actually use regularly; quicker, comfier options tend to win even if they don’t give the full upside-down stretch. Some report real sciatica relief from the milder decompression plus heat, while others still prefer inversion for a deeper stretch. Consistency seems to be the main factor.

Carla82MemberQuick add: it definitely loosens tight muscles fast but my sciatica flares came back within a day. I ended up returning mine and the refund was painless. Fine for a quick de-stress but don’t expect it to fix disc problems.

StanMember15 minutes plugged in is easy to slot into a layover or after a long travel day, so the cord didn’t bother me either. The heat and vibration definitely make it more tempting to actually use instead of letting it sit in a corner.

MemberI’ve got an inversion table too and honestly I don’t think I’d replace it with the Back Restore. They just do different things for me. The table gives that full hang that nothing else seems to match for my hips.
