MemberI just put the ODIN SafeWave EMF on my phone but I have a pretty thick case. Does it matter if the sticker is under the case or should it be on the outside of it? I figured it would still work the same since it’s passive but just wanted to check if anyone else has tried it both ways.

MemberI figure it probably works fine either way since it’s passive, but I’d lean toward putting it on the outside just in case the case blocks anything. Thick cases can be pretty dense, so who knows if it matters.

Noah KentMemberI’d think it probably works the same either way since it’s passive, but thick cases can be weird sometimes with signal stuff. I just stuck mine directly on the phone itself to skip the guesswork. Seems fine so far.

Mike RunnerMemberProbably doesn’t matter that much either way. I think you’re overthinking it.

MemberI just stuck mine directly on the phone under the case and haven’t noticed any difference. I figure if it’s passive, a little plastic or rubber shouldn’t mess with it.

L_ParkerMemberI put mine under the case and never thought twice about it. The whole point is it’s passive, so a bit of plastic shouldn’t change anything.

MemberI think you’re overthinking it honestly. I put mine under a pretty bulky case and haven’t noticed anything different, so I’d say you’re fine either way. It’s just a sticker, not like it needs direct contact with the air or anything. Probably works the same.

RiversMemberI just leave mine under the case. If the thing actually works, a bit of plastic isn’t going to stop it. If it doesn’t, then it doesn’t matter where you put it.

MemberI haven’t tried mine under a thick case specifically, but I feel like it should be fine since it’s just a sticker doing its thing. I’d probably put it under just to keep it from peeling off or getting scratched, but I get why you’d wonder about signal or whatever.

MemberI’d just stick it under the case and call it done. If it’s passive, the thickness of the case probably isn’t going to make or break it.

coffeeandscreensParticipantI’d say under the case is probably the way to go, mostly so it doesn’t get scratched or peel off over time. Mine hasn’t budged and I don’t really think about it anymore.

Ben KerrMemberUnder the case is fine. Keeps it from peeling off over time, that’s what matters.

MemberGood to know, thanks everyone. I just stuck mine under the case and figured that was good enough, nice to see most people did the same without issues.
