Nina_gadgetMemberPicked up a Qinux Zindoggo last week and it seems to work fine for live tracking, but I still have a few doubts. The app showed accurate location in the park but the battery dropped from 100 to about 60% after two short walks, is that normal for this collar? The magnetic charger is convenient but feels a bit delicate, and since it’s only splash resistant I’m not sure about rain or muddy hikes. Also wondering if it stays comfortable on medium dogs and if the safe zone alerts are generally reliable or delayed.

Dani MoonMemberNot surprised the battery plunged that fast, I think constant live GPS and app pings eat it. Maybe lower the tracking frequency or turn off live mode on short walks if you want better battery life, not totally sure though. Charger felt flimsy to me too, and I wouldn’t trust it in proper rain.

northshoreParticipantSafe zone alerts are a bit hit-or-miss for me, I’ve had a couple show up a minute or two late when the dog was already out of the yard. I think it’s usually the phone network or the app pushing, maybe not the collar itself. It’s annoying when you’re actually relying on it though.

Carla82MemberOn medium dogs it’s fine, lightweight and my dog pretty much ignores it. The strap can rub on long hikes and the plastic housing feels a bit flimsy, so I’m skeptical it’ll survive rough use long term. Check the fit regularly and you should be okay.

Mike89ParticipantI think the GPS can wobble a bit in heavy tree cover or near tall buildings, so you might see the dot jump sometimes. In open parks it seemed solid for me though.

LiamWParticipantI think that kind of drop is normal. Mine went to about 50% after a few short tracked walks, maybe depends on update frequency.

LauTopMemberI usually get a push almost immediately when my dog slips the fence, but a couple times the alert showed up a minute or two late when my phone had bad reception or the app was backgrounded. Fine for everyday use, not perfect for split-second escapes.

Paul847ParticipantFits my medium lab fine, she hardly notices it. Charger feels a bit delicate so I handle it carefully, and it’s survived drizzle but I wouldn’t dunk it.

Nina_gadgetMemberThanks, quick update from my side. I tested the safe-zone alert timing and with the app open the ping was basically instant, but with my phone in my pocket and screen off it took about a minute to arrive. Works fine for normal walks, just something to remember if your dog is a runner.

MemberBattery seems to drain faster than I expected too, but I just charge it every couple days and haven’t had issues. Mine’s been through a few light rain walks and still works fine, so I wouldn’t stress too much about the splash resistance. The safe zone alerts have been pretty solid for me, usually pops up on my phone within a few seconds. Overall it’s been doing the job for my dog, so I’d say give it a bit more time.

HanSoloParticipantBattery sounds about right for a GPS collar that’s actually polling. I’d just top it off after every walk and not worry too much unless it starts dying mid-day.
