I’m thinking about trying SynGas on my 2010 sedan, but I’ve heard some OBD2 gadgets don’t play well with older models. Anyone here run it on a car that’s not brand new?

I’ve got a 2010 sedan too and it’s been fine with SynGas so far. The OBD2 port worked without any weird issues, just plugged it in and let it do its thing for a bit. I’d say go for it if your car’s OBD2 is standard.

Mine’s a 2012 and it didn’t cause any drama with the OBD2 port. Just plugged it in and forgot about it. Honestly not sure it’s doing much for fuel, but it hasn’t been a headache either.

I think a 2010 should be fine honestly. I know someone with a 2009 that tried it and the OBD2 port had no issues at all. Not totally sure it made a huge difference for them though.

I’ve got a 2011 and it’s been fine so far. No weird OBD2 issues or error lights popping up.

I used it on my 2008 a while back and didn’t have any trouble with the OBD2 port or check engine lights. Just plugged it in and it worked fine.

I’ve been running SynGas on my 2011 hatchback for a few months now and no issues with the OBD2 port so far. Plugged it in and it just worked.

I tried SynGas on my 2011 sedan and it seemed fine after the first week or so. The OBD2 port worked without any glitches for me. Not totally sure about all older models though.

I ran one on a 2011 hatchback for a few months. It didn’t mess with anything weird or throw any codes, if that’s what you’re worried about. Didn’t really notice much fuel savings either, to be honest. Just plug it in and forget about it if you want to try it.

I’ve got a 2010 model and it works fine for me so far. Plugged it in and drove around for a week, nothing weird happened with the OBD2 port or anything. Honestly, I was expecting more issues but it just did its thing.

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like most older cars are fine with it, so I’ll just plug mine in and see how it goes. Not expecting miracles, but worth a shot.

I skimmed most of this and honestly, it’s probably fine. My 2012 runs it without any weird OBD2 issues, just plugged it in and forgot about it. Not exactly life changing but it does make the throttle feel a bit less lazy around town.

I just left mine plugged in for a few weeks and honestly forgot about it. No weird errors or check engine lights on my 2011.

I plugged one into a 2009 hatchback and honestly didn’t notice any weird OBD2 stuff going on. No check engine lights or anything like that. I think if the port works it’ll probably just run fine.

I’d probably just try it and see what happens. Most OBD2 stuff works fine on cars from that era, it’s the really old ones that sometimes get picky.
