I see the AerioQ has a heating mode. For those who have used it, does it actually warm up a small room or is it just for keeping your feet warm? I’m not expecting miracles, but I’d like to know if it can take the chill off a bedroom in winter. Not looking for a full review, just a quick answer.

Depends how small, honestly. I tried one in a spare room and it took the edge off but didn’t really warm it up properly once it got properly cold out. Fine for keeping a small office comfortable, less convincing as actual heating.

It’s a space heater with a fancy wall mount, so it behaves like one. Mine gets my office from freezing to tolerable in about half an hour, but it’s not going to heat a whole bedroom evenly. Works fine if you’re sitting near it. If you want the room warm, get a real heater.

I’ll disagree a bit here, mine does more than take the chill off. I use it in a small box room about 3x3m and it gets properly warm in there, not just your feet. You do have to close the door though, otherwise it’s fighting a losing battle.

Mine warms my bedroom fine but the room is pretty small and the door stays shut. Takes maybe 20 mins before I stop noticing the cold. I usually just leave it on low overnight and that works for me.

Mine handles my spare bedroom fine, and that room is nothing special insulation wise. It won’t replace actual heating if the rest of the house is cold, but as the only heat source in a closed room it does the job. I’ve used it through two winters now.

I keep going back and forth on this one because I want it for a nursery and that feels like a room where I’d notice if it’s not really working. Following along though.

I mostly use mine to take the chill off before bed and that works fine for me. It’s not going to heat the whole room if it’s really cold out, but it does enough that I’m not shivering under the covers. Takes a bit to notice though.

Mine mostly just takes the edge off. It won’t make a cold room feel properly warm, but it’s enough that I’m not shivering while getting ready in the morning. If the room already has some heat going, that’s when it actually feels like it’s doing something.

I’d push back a little on the idea that it’s only good for feet. In my experience it does genuinely take the edge off a chilly room, but it works best when you give it time and keep the door closed. It’s not going to blast you with heat right away though.

Depends what you mean by heat. Mine raises the temp a couple degrees in a closed office, but as soon as the door opens it’s pointless. If you want a warm room, this isn’t it.

I’m still deciding on one myself, but my sister has the AerioQ in her guest room and she says it heats that space surprisingly well for what it is. She runs it about an hour before guests arrive and the room feels comfortable instead of chilly. That sold me more than any spec sheet did.

If it were me I’d only count on it as a supplement, not as the thing actually heating the room. I’ve had mine since last fall and use it in a small spare room, and it keeps that space comfortable enough as long as the door stays shut and the house heat is already on low. On its own in a really cold room it just doesn’t have enough punch.

I’d treat it as a supplement rather than the main heat source. Mine sits in a spare bedroom about 10×10 and it keeps that room from feeling cold overnight, but I still leave the house heat on low. If that room is where you spend most of your evening, it’ll probably do enough for you.

Mine actually did better than I expected in my home office, which is pretty small. I run it for maybe 30 minutes before I start working and the room goes from uncomfortable to totally fine. It’s not blasting hot air like a space heater, more like a gentle warmth that builds up. The catch for me was that it only really works if I keep the door shut the whole time. First week I had it I kept leaving the door open out of habit and wondered why it felt useless. Once I started closing it, big difference. So for a bedroom I’d say yeah, it can take the chill off, but you have to treat the room like a closed box. If people are walking in and out constantly it won’t keep up.

Mine warms my bedroom but only if I start it about an hour before bed. If I turn it on when I’m already freezing, it takes forever to notice. So it does take the chill off, just slowly.
