MemberI’ve been using the SleepZee for a couple months and it’s still doing fine. Just wondering how often people usually replace theirs. I know it says reusable and long-lasting but that’s kind of vague. Not having any issues, just curious.

MemberMine lasted about eight months before it stopped holding.

MemberNo clue what the real lifespan is. Mine has held up around five months so far with nightly use and it still fits the same. I figure once the bite starts feeling loose or it warps, that’s when I’d swap it.

MemberI don’t think it’s a set timeline thing. Mine’s been going since last winter and it still does the job, so replacing on some schedule seems like a waste unless something actually changes.

Lisa HydrowMemberMine is over a year old and still works the same as when I got it. I don’t do anything special to it either, just rinse it in the morning. So you’ve probably got plenty of time left.

MemberTwo months is nothing. That’s not a durability question yet, that’s just the honeymoon phase. I used mine for close to a year and a half before I finally tossed it, and the reason wasn’t that it fell apart. The plastic got cloudy and started tasting weird no matter how much I rinsed it. That’s what got me looking for a replacement, not any kind of structural failure.
So my honest opinion on the whole “long-lasting” claim shifted once I actually lived with it. At first I figured I’d be replacing it every few months based on the vague wording, then it kept going way past that, which surprised me. But by the end I was tired of it and wanted something fresh anyway. There’s a difference between the thing still technically functioning and you actually wanting to keep putting it in your mouth every night.
If you’re only a couple months in and it’s fine, you’ve got a while. But I wouldn’t treat “reusable” like it means forever. Eventually you’ll probably just get sick of it before it breaks. For me that was somewhere past a year, and I replaced it because of the taste and discoloration, not because it stopped doing its job. Whether that counts as needing a replacement is up to you.

Ryan__TMemberI’ve replaced mine twice in about 14 months. Not because it fell apart, but the bite softened enough that it stopped staying put. The tabs and grooves wear down way before the material actually cracks.

MemberTwo months is way too early to be thinking about replacing it. I’m going on 11 months with mine and it’s still fine, no cracks or anything. The “long-lasting” thing is vague because it depends on stuff like grinding, but I wouldn’t buy a backup yet.

Tom W98MemberMine started cracking at 4 months, so no.

MemberMine lasted almost two years before I finally swapped it out, and even then it was more about the thing getting grimy than actually failing. The “long-lasting” claim is vague because it really depends on how you clean it and how hard you clench. Two months in you’ve got plenty of life left.

MemberStill trying to figure out if I even want to buy one, but this thread is helpful. Good to know it’s not something you’re swapping every few months.

MemberTwo years on mine and still fine.

RyanTParticipantMine’s been going 8 months, still fits like day one.

MemberMine went about 13 months before the top part started feeling rough, so I swapped it. It wasn’t broken, just didn’t feel clean anymore no matter what I did. I’d say a year is realistic if you take care of it.

MemberGood to know it’s not just me wondering about this. Mines only a few months old so I’ll just keep using it until something actually feels off. Appreciate the replies.
