Has anyone tested the Tagsley battery life with left-behind alerts turned on constantly? I’m thinking about picking one up for my wallet, but I’m wondering if having that feature active drains the battery faster than the 5 months they claim. I’m not expecting perfect numbers, just curious if it’s a noticeable difference.

I’ve had left-behind alerts on since I got mine and still get around 4 to 5 months. It’s not a huge difference. You’ll be fine.

I think having left-behind alerts on constantly will shave a bit off that 5 month claim, but probably not enough to be a dealbreaker. Maybe more like 3-4 months if you’re in a busy area where it’s checking in a lot. Not totally sure how much it drains it compared to the normal tracking though.

Not sure anyone’s run a proper test on that, but having a feature constantly pinging is bound to eat into battery a bit. It’s probably fine if you charge it every few weeks anyway.

I doubt it makes a huge difference honestly. The constant checking might shave a bit off the claimed 5 months, but it probably still lasts long enough to be practical for most people.

I’ve had left-behind alerts on since I got mine and honestly I haven’t noticed it dying any faster. Still seems to last months between charges to me, so I wouldnt worry too much about it.

I’ve seen a few people mention it doesn’t seem to make a big dent in battery life, so I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

Not really something I’d lose sleep over. I’ve had left-behind alerts on since I got mine, and it still lasts months between charges. Probably not making a real dent in that 5 month claim.

I’d guess it’s probably not a huge deal. I mean, the battery life is already pretty long, so even if it uses a bit more power, you’re still getting months out of it.

I’d just turn it on and not worry too much. The battery already lasts months, so even if it drops a bit you’re still charging it rarely. Probably worth it for the peace of mind.

Appreciate the replies. Sounds like the battery hit is minor enough that it’s not worth overthinking. Probably just gonna turn it on and see how it goes.

Skimmed through the replies and honestly I just turned mine on and forgot about it. Battery life is one of those things I never really notice until it dies, and so far it’s been fine. Can’t say I’ve tracked exact days but it’s not like it’s dying every month or anything.

I’ve had mine on since I got it and honestly haven’t noticed any crazy drain. Still lasts me a good few months before I toss it on the charger.

I’ve been running mine with left-behind alerts on for a couple months now and it’s still going fine. I don’t think it makes that much difference honestly. The 5 months might be a bit optimistic but not by much.

I’ve been running mine with left-behind alerts on for about two months now and honestly I haven’t noticed a huge drain. Still sitting pretty, no dead battery surprises so far. Might be one of those things where it depends on how often you actually leave stuff behind.

I’ve had mine on for a few months now and it’s still going. I wouldn’t overthink the battery drain unless you’re the type who forgets to charge things.

I’ve had left-behind alerts on since I got mine and it’s still going after about four months. Doesn’t seem to make a huge dent, I just toss it on the charger when I think about it.

Left-behind alerts probably do drain it a bit faster, but I doubt it cuts the battery in half or anything. Mine has been running with them on for a couple months and I haven’t noticed it dying early. Not totally sure it’s a big deal.

Honestly I don’t think it matters that much. I’ve had mine on since day one and it’s been fine so far. Might be a tiny bit less than the 5 months but nothing crazy.

I’ve been curious about this too since I keep flip-flopping on whether to turn mine off when I’m just around the house. I’ve had left-behind alerts on for maybe three months now and I’m still hovering around the same battery level I’d expect without it, so it hasn’t felt drastic. I guess the real question is how much the constant Bluetooth pinging adds up over a full charge cycle.
