Mine stays on social mode and I forget it’s there.

I’ve had mine about two weeks and mostly use it for exactly that, one on one talking in a quiet room. It does help, but I stopped switching modes after like day two. Just leave it and go.

I’d just leave it in quiet mode for that kind of setting and not touch it. That’s basically what I do when it’s just me and one other person in a normal room, and I quit fiddling with modes weeks ago. Two people talking is the easy case for mine.

I did try flipping through modes the first week and then just kind of stopped. Social mode was fine but I didn’t feel like it made enough of a difference to bother, and switching stuff around while someone is mid sentence is annoying. So they just live on quiet mode now unless I’m watching TV.

For a plain room with two people it’s a subtle improvement, not a magic fix. If your hearing is only a little off you might not notice much. But if you’re constantly leaning in or guessing at words, it takes the edge off.

I still switch to TV mode for actual TV, but for two people talking I honestly forget it’s even on a mode now. It’s just where I left it.
