Just wondering if anyone else has noticed the battery draining faster when you have the WiFi on for the phone app. I was using my Pro Capture on a hike and it seemed to drop way quicker than I expected. Not sure if that’s normal or if mine is just a dud.

Mine does the same thing with WiFi on. It’s a battery hog but pretty much every camera like this is the same. Not surprised.

It’s pretty normal with WiFi on. I noticed the same thing but honestly it’s not a deal breaker for me since I mostly use it without the app anyway. Still gets me through a solid hike.

Huh, I’m not totally sure. Mine didn’t seem that bad when I tested it out at the park, but I only had the app open for a few minutes. Maybe I just got lucky with my unit.

I only use the app to check framing before I start recording, then I turn WiFi off. That seems to help a lot.

I think mine drains a bit faster too but I mostly just turn the WiFi off once I’ve got the angle right. Works fine for me honestly.

I’ve noticed it too, but honestly I just assumed it was normal for these kinds of cameras. WiFi streaming is always gonna drain things faster.

I haven’t had that issue myself. I think mine holds up pretty well even with the WiFi on. Could just be a difference in how we’re using it.

Works fine for me honestly. I keep the WiFi on most of the time and haven’t noticed anything crazy. Probably just depends on what you’re doing with it.

WiFi streaming is a known battery killer on pretty much any camera, so I wouldn’t call it a dud. If you’re hiking and using it the whole time, yeah, it’ll drain faster. I just leave mine off unless I need it.

It’s probably just the WiFi honestly. Most cameras drain faster when you’re streaming to a phone the whole time. I wouldn’t worry about it being a dud.

I mean, WiFi is pretty much always gonna eat battery on any camera, so I wouldn’t panic about it. I just flip mine off once I’m done framing the shot and it seems fine.

I mean, WiFi is gonna drain it a bit, but mine still lasts a good while on hikes. I wouldn’t sweat it too much.

WiFi is gonna drain it, that’s just how it works. Mine does the same if I leave it on the whole time. I just turn it off after I set up the shot and it’s fine. Not really a big deal.
