ResQVac suction strength question for anyone who’s used it

I get what you mean. I haven’t used mine on a real blockage either, but I figure if it can pull hard enough to leave a mark on my arm it’s probably doing something. I’d still rather have it and not need it than wonder during an actual emergency.

I haven’t tested mine on anything serious either but I did let my brother try it on a piece of apple once and it definitely sucked it up into the chamber no problem. Not totally sure how that translates to a real blockage but it wasn’t weak at all.

I’d probably just keep it in the drawer and hope I never need to find out how strong it really is.

I think if the suction is noticeable on your hand, it’s probably enough for what it’s meant for. I mean, choking blockages aren’t usually that deeply lodged, right? Seems like it’d work fine in the moment.

I tested mine on a piece of bread once just to see and it pulled it right off the counter. Not exactly a throat, but the suction is there. I’d say it’s probably fine for what it’s designed to do.

If the suction is noticeable on skin, it’s probably fine for most situations. A piece of bread off a counter is one thing, but I’d want to see it tested on something denser before I feel completely sure. Not like I’m planning to test it on myself, though.
