Been using the TopCarPlay for a couple weeks now and it works fine for maps and calls. But I noticed when I’m watching a video on my phone through the car screen, the audio is slightly off. Not a huge deal since I’m not watching movies while driving, but just wondering if anyone else noticed that with certain apps.

I noticed the same thing with video apps through mine. It’s a little annoying if you’re really paying attention, but I kind of just accepted it since I mainly use it for music and maps. For what it does most of the time, I’m fine living with it.

Haven’t tested video through mine so can’t say I’ve noticed. Maps and music have been fine so far. Might just depend on the app or how your car handles the signal.

I’ve only used mine for music and maps so far, so I haven’t run into that issue myself. Kind of makes sense though, video streaming over wireless is probably pushing it more than audio only. I’d still be a little curious if it’s consistent across all video apps or just some of them.

I haven’t really noticed any delay, but I mostly just use mine for Spotify and navigation. Video through the car screen seems like something I’d probably only try if I was parked anyway.

Yeah, it’s there. Noticed it with YouTube and a couple streaming apps. Honestly, it’s annoying if you’re trying to watch anything with dialogue. Probably just how the wireless handles video, not really built for that.

Honestly, I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Slight audio delay with video is pretty normal for wireless adapters. I just use mine for music and maps anyway.

I think it’s probably just one of those things that comes with wireless adapters. Doesn’t really bother me since I mostly just use it for music.

Could be worse. I’ve seen some wireless adapters where the delay is so bad it’s unwatchable. Yours just sounds like normal Bluetooth lag.

I’ve seen a few people mention that. I mostly stick to music and podcasts so I never really tested video through mine. Probably just a minor quirk with wireless streaming.

I mean, it’s a wireless adapter, not exactly built for watching movies, so a little audio lag doesn’t really surprise me. I just use mine for Spotify and Google Maps and haven’t had any issues that bug me. Not something I’d lose sleep over.

I noticed the same thing with video apps on mine. It’s not terrible, but it’s definitely there, especially if you’re watching something with a lot of fast talking. Kind of annoying if you’re trying to watch a quick clip while parked, but I don’t really use it for that anyway.

Honestly I’ve noticed it too with video apps, but it’s so minor I just ignore it. I’m usually just using it for maps or music anyway so it doesn’t bug me.

I’d check if it’s the same on wired. If it’s fine with a cable, then the adapter is adding the lag. If it’s the same, that’s just your car’s system.

I haven’t really tested video much either, mostly just use mine for navigation and music. Probably wouldn’t bother me enough to look into it further.

I’m not surprised there’s some lag with video. It’s just an adapter chucking data over wireless, not a high end media setup. Mine works fine for what it’s meant for.

Honestly I never really tested video on mine cause I mostly just use it for music and maps. I can see how the lag would be annoying if you were trying to watch something though. Probably just the nature of sending it wirelessly.

I’ve noticed it too but only with a couple of apps, mostly video ones I don’t really use in the car anyway so it doesn’t bother me much.

I noticed that too with YouTube, but it didn’t bother me much since I’m not really watching videos in the car either. Honestly, I’d rather just use my phone directly if I actually wanted to watch something.
