I’m thinking about getting the Earscribe for an upcoming trip, but I wasn’t sure if it works the same on both types of phones. I’ve got an Android but my travel buddy is on iPhone. Would be nice if we could both use it without any weird glitches.

I’ve used Earscribe with both an Android and an iPhone and they worked fine. The app looks a little different between the two but the translation part seemed the same. I’d say go for it, especially if you’re both planning to use it together.

I’d say it’s probably fine. The app might look a bit different but the core stuff like translation should work the same on both. I wouldn’t stress about glitches really.

The app layout difference is the only thing that would bug me personally, not the translation itself. I just prefer things to look consistent when I’m switching between devices.

I wouldn’t sweat it too much honestly. It’s one of those things where if you’re both just using the earbuds normally you probably won’t even notice the difference.

Honestly, the app layout difference is the only thing that might bug you if you’re switching between phones. But for just using the earbuds normally, it’s fine on both. I wouldn’t overthink it.

I really wouldn’t worry about it. They pair with the app the same way and the translation part is identical. The only difference is the app icon, really.

I think they work fine with both. The app looks a little different but it’s not a big deal unless you’re swapping phones every five minutes.

I just got mine and honestly the app layout is a bit cleaner on iOS, but it’s not a big deal. I wouldn’t worry about it messing up your trip.

Kinda weird that people make a big deal about the app icon. I’d be more interested in whether the Bluetooth connection drops out on one OS more than the other.

I’ve got an Android and my sister uses an iPhone, and we shared a pair on a trip last year. It worked fine on both, no weird glitches or anything. The app layout is a little different but it’s not something you’d notice unless you’re switching phones constantly. I wouldn’t overthink it.

I get the concern but honestly I think people make it more complicated than it is. They’re just earbuds with a translation app, not some super finicky piece of tech.

I’ve used mine with both and honestly didn’t notice any weird glitches between them. The app looks a bit different but the actual translation worked the same for me. I think you’ll be fine sharing them.

Honestly, I think people overthink this. They’re earbuds that connect to an app, it’s not some platform-exclusive thing. Mine works fine on Android, and I’ve seen it work on an iPhone with no real difference.
