I picked up an Oral-B iO a few weeks ago and I’m curious about the pressure sensor feature. It’s supposed to alert you if you’re brushing too hard, but I’m not sure how reliable it is in everyday use. Has anyone here noticed it making a real difference, or is it more of a gimmick?
I think it works well enough for me. It lights up red when I press too hard and I’ve definitely noticed I back off a bit. Not a game changer but it does what it says.
I’ve had mine for a couple months and I honestly forget the sensor is even there most of the time. It does light up red every now and then when I’m rushing, but I haven’t really changed my brushing because of it. It’s more of a nice-to-have than a game changer for me.
I think it’s fine, but I kind of wish it was a bit more noticeable. I mostly just rely on the app to tell me if I’m being too rough.
