Been looking at the Aptofit for the health tracking stuff, specifically the blood glucose monitoring. I’m skeptical about that claim since no other smartwatch really does it non-invasively yet. Has anyone here actually tested it against a regular glucose meter or just going by what the watch says?

Honestly I keep thinking about getting one just to see what it says, but I feel like it’d just stress me out if it’s way off. Have you seen anyone actually do a side by side test yet?

I think it’s probably fine for general trends even if the numbers aren’t exact. I wouldn’t stress over it too much.

I haven’t tested it against a proper meter myself, but I’d want to see some actual comparison tests before trusting the numbers. It could be useful for spotting trends if it’s even close to accurate.

I’ve been wondering the same thing honestly. I got one mostly for the heart rate and sleep tracking and the blood glucose thing feels like a bonus I don’t fully trust yet. I haven’t compared it to a regular meter but mine seems to show numbers that at least don’t jump around randomly so maybe it’s doing something right.

I think it’s probably fine for what it is. Even if the numbers aren’t perfect, it’s not like I’d rely on it for anything serious. I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

Honestly I’d probably just take the blood sugar number as a fun extra rather than something to rely on. If it’s close enough for trends I wouldn’t sweat it too much.

I keep seeing these watches pop up with the blood sugar claim and I figure if it’s even close to accurate it’s a cool bonus, but I wouldn’t bet on it replacing a real meter. For the price and the other health stuff it does, I’d probably just treat the glucose number as a rough guide and not overthink it.

I just got mine last week and honestly I didn’t even bother testing the blood sugar against anything. I figure if it’s way off I’ll notice eventually but for now I just glance at it and move on. It’s not like I’m diabetic or anything so it’s more of a curiosity thing for me.

I think the blood sugar thing is more of a gimmick at this point. I tried it out of curiosity and the numbers seemed random compared to what I’d expect from diet changes. Maybe it’s okay for general trends if you’re not serious about it.

I just dusted mine off after a few days of not wearing it. The glucose number was sitting at like 85, which seemed normal enough, but I have no idea if it’s real or just a default. I don’t really care enough to jab my finger to check. Works fine for a step counter though.

I guess I don’t see the big deal either way. If someone is actually relying on a smartwatch for blood sugar readings they probably shouldn’t be anyway.

Honestly, I asked the question and after reading through the replies, it sounds about what I figured. No one actually tested it against a real meter. Guess I’ll just keep using the finger stick and treat the watch numbers as decoration.

I’d want to see someone do a side by side with a finger prick before I’d trust that number for anything serious. It’s a nice feature to glance at, but I wouldn’t base any decisions on it.
