MemberBeen waking up multiple times lately, sometimes wide awake for 20 mins. Not sure if this is just getting older or if my sleep schedule is messing up. Tried adjusting room temp and cutting caffeine after noon but still happens. Anyone else notice certain routines make a difference or is it just random?

pixelnomadParticipantHonestly I’ve had phases like that too and never really figured out a single cause. Sometimes it just passes on its own after a couple weeks. Could be random stress you don’t even notice.

MemberI’d guess it’s probably just random phases. I’ve had weeks where I’m up at 3am for no reason and then it stops as suddenly as it started. Cutting caffeine after noon never did much for me either.

MemberI noticed when I started eating dinner earlier, like 3-4 hours before bed, the wake-ups got a bit less frequent. Might just be random though, bodies are weird like that.

JSmithParticipantI wouldn’t worry too much about it. Waking up once or twice is pretty normal, especially as you get older. Could just be a phase that sorts itself out.

Dani MoonMemberI’ve had periods like that and honestly never pinned it down to anything specific either. Sometimes it just stops after a few weeks no matter what I do. Bodies are weird like that, probably nothing to stress over unless it drags on for months.

Mike ReynoldsMemberWaking up a few times a night is pretty normal, especially if you’re not crashing from exhaustion. I wouldn’t overthink it unless you’re dragging all day.

KhanMemberI’m in the same boat honestly. Some nights I’m up every couple hours, other nights I sleep straight through and can’t figure out why. Probably just one of those things that comes and goes.

RiversMemberWaking up a few times a night is pretty normal biologically, even if it’s annoying. If you’re not dragging through the day, I wouldn’t stress over it. Bodies just do weird stuff sometimes.

EliMemberI used to wake up a lot too, and for me it turned out the room was too dry. Added a small humidifier and it helped enough that I don’t really think about it anymore. Could be worth a shot if you haven’t tried it.

Ben KerrMemberProbably not a big deal. I’ve gone through phases like that and they usually fade on their own after a while. If you’re not exhausted during the day, I wouldn’t stress over it.

Laura CheckMemberI wouldn’t worry too much about it unless you’re feeling wiped out during the day. Sometimes my sleep just goes through weird phases for no reason and then sorts itself out.

MemberHuh, I wonder if it could be something random like the time change or even just stress you’re not noticing. I’ve had phases where I’m up at 3am for no reason and then it just stops on its own. Not totally sure it’s always something you can fix.

Carla82MemberIt could just be random, honestly. I’ve had stretches where I wake up at the same time every night for weeks and then it just stops. Doesn’t sound like anything to panic over unless you’re dragging yourself through the day.

MemberCould be random. I’ve had nights where I wake up every couple hours for no reason and then sleep fine the next week. Hard to pin down one cause.

Laura ReadsMemberI’ve had periods like that too and honestly they just sort of came and went on their own. Sometimes tweaking stuff helps but other times it feels like my body just does what it wants no matter what I change.
Hope yours settles down soon either way.

MemberHonestly, I’ve been through phases like that and it usually just passed on its own. I wouldn’t stress too much unless you’re really dragging during the day. Could just be your body cycling through a weird patch.

Jenna LeeMemberI think it’s pretty common to wake up a few times, especially as you get older. Cutting caffeine after noon helped me a bit, but what really seemed to make a difference was just not checking my phone when I woke up in the middle of the night. I’d just lie there and try to relax, and sometimes I’d fall back asleep faster than I expected.

MemberI’ve noticed if my room gets too dry it disrupts my sleep way more than temperature does. Threw a small humidifier in there a while back and the wake-ups dropped off pretty noticeably. Might be worth trying something simple like that.

MemberI started stretching for a few minutes before bed and it helped me stay asleep longer. Not sure if it’s the same for everyone but worth a shot.

MemberYeah I read through these. Some of it lines up with what I noticed. Stretching before bed made no difference for me but cutting out booze a few hours before sleep helped a bit. Still wake up though. Guess it’s just one of those things that comes and goes.
