I’m looking at the Jetterix for cleaning my deck this spring, but I’m a little worried about the wood getting damaged. Our deck is just standard pressure-treated lumber, nothing fancy. Has anyone used it on wood without leaving marks or gouges? I know it’s not a real pressure washer, but still want to be careful.

I gave it a shot on my own pressure treated deck last year and didn’t run into any problems. I just kept the nozzle moving and didn’t hold it too close to any one spot. It’s not as strong as a real pressure washer, so I think you’d have to try pretty hard to mess up the wood.

Not totally sure why everyone overcomplicates this. It’s a hose nozzle, not a jackhammer. If you’re careful it’ll be fine.

I think people worry too much about this. It’s just a hose nozzle, not some industrial tool that’s going to shred your deck. I’ve used mine on pressure treated wood a few times and it cleaned it up fine without any marks.

I’m not one to overthink it. If I had a deck like that, I’d probably just try it on a low setting first and see how it goes.

I used mine on a pressure treated deck last summer and it was totally fine. Just don’t get carried away and hold it too close to the wood.

It’s a hose nozzle, not a saw. If you don’t hold it an inch away and leave it there, it’s not going to gouge the wood.

I dunno, I think people get way too nervous about this stuff. It’s just a garden hose nozzle, not a sandblaster. I’d just try it on a wider spray pattern first and not hold it right against the wood, seems pretty straightforward.

I’d just give it a go if I were you. Worse case you end up with a slightly cleaner deck and a bit of wasted time.

Honestly, I think people overthink this stuff sometimes. It’s just a hose nozzle with some extra oomph, not a pressure washer that’ll shred the wood. If you keep it moving and don’t park it on one spot, I doubt you’ll have any issues at all.

If it’s just a hose nozzle, I doubt you’re going to do much damage unless your water pressure is insane. You’d probably have to try pretty hard to gouge anything with it.

I get the caution but it’s a hose nozzle, not a power tool. I wouldn’t worry about gouging anything unless you really jam it into the wood and hold it there.

I just used mine on our deck a couple weekends ago and it was fine. I didn’t go crazy with it or anything, just kept it moving. Honestly I think if you’re already worried about it, you’ll probably be extra careful anyway.
