Anyone using a smart ring just for sleep tracking?

I’ve been thinking about getting one of those rings that tracks sleep and activity. I don’t really need all the fancy features just wondering if the sleep part is actually accurate or if it’s more of a gimmick. I travel a lot so something small and light sounds nice but I’m not sure if it’s worth the money for just that one thing.

I’ve got one and honestly I barely even look at the activity tracking part. For sleep it’s decent enough to see patterns but I wouldn’t call it super accurate if you’re comparing it to a medical device. The size is nice for travel though, way less annoying than a watch when you’re trying to sleep in a hotel. Still on the fence if it’s worth the money for just that one thing.

I mean, if you just want something small for sleep tracking it probably does the job well enough. The accuracy isn’t going to beat a proper medical device but for seeing your rough sleep patterns day to day it’s fine. I’d still question the price tag for such a narrow use though.

I got one mostly out of curiosity and honestly I still forget to charge it half the time. The sleep data looks consistent enough for me to know when I had a terrible night versus a decent one, but I never really compare it to anything else so who knows how accurate it actually is. It does the job for what it is and I don’t think about it much after the first week.

Honestly, the sleep tracking part is the only thing I actually use mine for now. I had a smartwatch before that did the same thing, but the ring is way less annoying to wear all night.

It’s fine for sleep if you just want rough trends, but don’t expect anything precise enough to base decisions on. The size is nice for travel though, way easier to forget than a watch.

I picked one up mostly because I kept losing my charging cable for my old fitness band, and the ring is way harder to misplace. I don’t even bother with the activity stuff, but the sleep data has been consistent enough for me to notice when I’ve had a bad night. For travel it’s perfect since it’s so tiny.

I got one mostly out of curiosity and the sleep tracking is fine for noticing if I had a rough night, but I wouldn’t call it life changing. The small size is nice for traveling since I don’t have to strap something bulky on my wrist. It’s more of a fun gadget than something I’d miss if I lost it.

Tried one for a few months. Sleep data was consistent enough to notice bad nights, but I wouldnt trust it for anything serious. Charging it got old fast though.

It’s probably fine if you just want a rough idea of your sleep patterns. I wouldn’t overthink it or expect medical-grade accuracy. The size is convenient for travel, but it’s not some revolutionary gadget.

I think it probably depends on how much detail you actually want. The sleep stuff seems decent enough for just seeing if you had a rough night, at least from what I have seen.

I got one as a gift and honestly it’s fine for what it does. I don’t pay much attention to the numbers, but it’s nice to just glance at in the morning and see if I slept badly or not. For travel the size is definitely a plus, no complaints there.

I’ve been wondering the same thing. The size for travel is tempting but I’m not sure how much I’d actually use the data beyond looking at it once.

Thanks for all the input, everyone. Sounds like it’s decent enough for a rough idea, which is all I really wanted. Probably won’t rush into it, but I’ll keep it in mind next time I’m traveling and feel like trying something small. Appreciate the thoughts.
