Been looking at those small battery powered coffee makers for travel but I keep wondering about grind size. I usually use a pretty fine grind at home and I’m worried it’ll clog or under extract. Anyone tried one with something like a V60 grind size?
I think it mostly depends on the machine, but I’ve used a pretty fine grind in mine without any issues. Not totally sure about a V60 level though, mine’s not that fine. Works fine for me, never had a clog.
I feel like with some of the smaller battery ones, the grind size matters way less than people think. Ive seen a few friends just use their usual pretty fine stuff and it actually came out decent, no clogs or anything. Might just depend on the specific model but I wouldnt stress too much about it.

I think it’s probably fine. A lot of these things are built for that kind of grind these days, not as fussy as people make out. I wouldn’t let it stop you.
