Just got my Ryoko Pro and so far it seems to work fine for my trip next week. But I was wondering about the battery life claim of 8 hours – has anyone actually gotten that in real use? Mine seems to drain a bit faster but I might just be checking it too often.

I’d say the 8 hours is more like a best case scenario if you’re just letting it sit idle. Once you actually have a few devices connected and browse around, it drops a bit. Still lasts me most of a day on the road though, which is fine for what it is.

8 hours is if you leave it in your bag doing nothing. With a few devices actually using data it’s more like 5-6. Still gets me through a full day of travel without hunting for an outlet, so I’m not complaining.

I mean, 8 hours is probably if you sit it next to a router and never touch it. I just plug mine in when I’m at a coffee shop or wherever so it doesn’t really matter to me.

8 hours is probably in ideal conditions with just one device connected and the screen off. I’ve been using mine for a few days on a trip and it gets me through a full work day if I’m not streaming video. Still feels solid for its size.

I’m getting around 6-7 hours on mine so far, but I’ve been leaving it plugged in a lot. The 8 hour claim probably depends on how many devices you have connected and what you’re doing. I wouldn’t stress too much for a trip unless you’re gonna be off grid all day.

I think the 8 hours is more of a best case scenario. Been using mine for a few days and I get around 6 hours with a couple devices connected and normal browsing. Still plenty for a day out though.

I haven’t pushed mine to the limit yet, but 8 hours feels optimistic unless you’re barely using it. I get closer to 5-6 hours with a few devices connected.

I’d take the 8 hour claim with a grain of salt. Mine runs closer to 5 or 6 before it starts complaining. Still does the job for a day out though.

Honestly, I don’t really track mine that closely. I just plug it in when I think about it and it’s always got enough juice for a day of casual use. Works fine for me.

Thanks everyone for chiming in! I’ve been using mine for a few days now and honestly, it’s been fine for my needs. I just charge it overnight and don’t stress too much about the exact hours. Appreciate the reassurance!
