MemberMy outdoor tap is pretty weak, and the Jetterix didn’t really do much on my patio. Is that just how it is with low pressure, or am I missing something? I don’t expect pressure washer results, but it barely rinsed off loose dirt.

MemberLow pressure is exactly the problem. Mine works fine on my driveway because I’ve got decent flow, but I tried it at my parents’ house and it was basically a fancy squirt gun. You’re not missing anything, it just needs real pressure to do anything.

Sam ReadsMemberMine still blasted a decent strip on my concrete steps even though our tap is nothing special. Maybe your hose is the weak link instead of the nozzle. I’d check that before blaming the Jetterix.

MemberLow pressure is not automatically a dealbreaker. I’ve got mediocre pressure at my place and mine still lifts green gunk off the fence panels after a quick soak. The trick for me was slowing down instead of expecting one fast pass to do everything. I hit the same patch two or three times and let the water do the work between passes. Patio slabs are the worst case though because dirt sits down in the texture, so a weak stream just skates over the top. If you’re barely getting loose dirt off, that sounds more like flow than the nozzle. Check how long a bucket takes to fill from that tap. Mine got noticeably better after I swapped a cracked old hose.

MemberLow pressure definitely kills it. Ours barely did anything until we swapped the old hose out, now it actually sprays with some force. Not pressure washer level but enough for light patio stuff.

MemberMine actually did better on my back patio than I expected, even with water pressure that I’d call pretty average at best. I’ve had those little twist nozzles before and they always felt like I was just pointing a slightly more focused hose at stuff, so I went in with low expectations. But the Jetterix peeled off a bunch of dried leaf stains and that gray layer that builds up on pavers way faster than I figured it would. It wasn’t instant, I had to go over a few spots twice, but it definitely wasn’t just rinsing loose dirt either.
The thing that surprised me was how much difference the angle made. When I held it almost straight down and kept it moving slow, it cut through way better than when I was sort of sweeping it around like I normally do with a hose. Sounds obvious now but it took me a minute to figure out.
So if yours is barely doing anything, I’d poke at the water side of things before writing off the nozzle. I know that’s kind of the opposite of what you’re asking, but my tap isn’t great and it still worked out fine for me, which makes me think something else might be going on at your place. Old hose, kink somewhere, washer worn out, that kind of stuff. Worth a quick look before you decide it’s just how it is.

MemberLow pressure can definitely hold it back, but I don’t think that’s the whole story. My setup is nothing impressive and it still manages to knock the top layer of grime off my walkway, just slowly and with a few passes. If it barely touched loose dirt, that sounds more like your flow is really restricted somewhere rather than the nozzle just being weak.

MemberLow pressure makes a big difference with these things, so you’re probably not missing anything. Mine works way better at my sister’s place than it ever did at my old apartment, and nothing else changed except the water flow.

Ben KerrMemberWith low pressure it’s mostly just a rinse tool. Mine works fine for light stuff but it never had that focused punch until I moved to a place with stronger flow. You’re not missing a secret trick.
3 de October de 2026 at 04:29 #14063
Maria_BakesMemberI think the weak tap is doing more damage than you’d expect. My sister has one of those outdoor taps that barely dribbles and when I tried cleaning her steps with my nozzle it was basically a wet rag situation. Same nozzle at my place sprays with actual force. It’s not about the nozzle being bad, it just can’t create pressure that isn’t there in the first place. Nozzles focus the stream but they don’t pump water. So if your tap is weak, you’re kind of stuck unless you fix the flow somehow. I’d check if another tap in the house has better pressure before blaming the thing itself. That’s usually the giveaway.

MemberMine worked fine on a weak tap so pressure isnt the whole story.
3 de October de 2026 at 05:05 #14067Sarah Kos
MemberPressure is only half of it. The other half is how much flow you actually have, and those two aren’t the same thing. Weak tap usually means weak flow too, and no nozzle can fix that.

MemberWeak pressure is the main thing I’d look at, but there’s another factor people miss: how much gunk is actually stuck to the patio. Jetterix rinses loose stuff fine, but if dirt has been baked on for months it won’t touch it regardless of pressure. That’s been my experience anyway.
3 de October de 2026 at 05:52 #14072
RiversMemberMine’s basically a garden ornament unless the tap is wide open, and even then it’s nothing impressive. If your outdoor tap is weak you’re just pushing a slightly more focused trickle around. That’s the whole story.

MemberWeak tap isn’t automatically a dealbreaker. My parents’ place has terrible outdoor pressure and the Jetterix still blasts the green stuff off their walkway fine. It’s not a pressure washer but it’s way better than a plain nozzle. If yours barely rinsed loose dirt, something else is off.
3 de October de 2026 at 06:32 #14076
HanSoloParticipantWeak taps and these nozzles just don’t mix. I’d rather drag out the electric one once a year than pretend a hose attachment is going to cut it. The whole point of that thing is convenience, not actual cleaning power.
3 de October de 2026 at 06:41 #14077Ella Voss
MemberMine actually got worse after a few weeks, not better. So it’s not just your tap being weak, these things seem to fade. I’ve stopped expecting much from it on anything but the car.
